Participation of the MSc in the ATTD 2025 International Conference in Amsterdam

The Director and faculty members of the MSc Program participated in the Advanced Technologies & Treatments for Diabetes (ATTD 2025) international conference, which took place from March 5 to 8, 2025, in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

ATTD is considered one of the most significant international scientific conferences in the field of Diabetes, focusing on the latest advancements in technology and innovative therapeutic approaches. Participation in such high-level events enables attendees to remain up to date with global scientific developments and to share well-documented research findings.

During the conference, three scientific contributions were presented by members of the MSc academic team:

  • Oral Presentation:
    “Effect of Crocus Sativus Extract Supplementation in the Metabolic Control of People with Diabetes Mellitus Type 1: A Double-Blind Randomized Clinical Trial”
    This study explores the impact of Crocus Sativus extract supplementation on metabolic parameters in individuals with Type 1 Diabetes through a double-blind randomized clinical trial.

  • Oral Presentation:
    “Glycemic Control in People Living with Type 1 Diabetes Using the Medtronic MiniMed™ 780 System: Results from the Galaxy Service in Greece”
    The study presents real-world data from the Galaxy Service in Greece, evaluating glycemic control in people using the advanced MiniMed™ 780G insulin pump system.

  • Poster Presentation (Poster PV508):
    “Effect of Crocus Sativus Extract Supplementation in the Metabolic Control of People with Diabetes Mellitus Type 1”
    The poster provided additional analysis of the clinical trial results, demonstrating the team’s ongoing commitment to evidence-based research.

The presentation of these studies at ATTD 2025 highlights the MSc Program’s active engagement in clinical research on Type 1 Diabetes and its interest in the application of modern technological solutions in medical practice.
